I have
always known fear as a sickness, one that quickly spread wide inflicting vital
organs.
As it is in
fish to first decay from the head, so also is it in man to die first from the
head. So fear attacks our thoughts from the onset, killing our focus and
knowledge of self. Sadly, we allow fear to stain our courage, spreading like
wild fire, progressing like a multiplying virus attacking only the living
essentials of our existence.
The first
point of attack is usually our dreams, visions, purpose. When fear attacks
these aspects of us with considerable determination, our thoughts and feeling
begins to be muddled. Confusion and doubts set in.
Convictions become unnecessary ideals.
Gradually the heart grows weak as faith and hope begins to erode; man loses
interest in all the good that would have been and becomes contented with all
the evil that is.
Every evil
has an appetite so does fear, which is the express character of evil. Rendering
man passive, converting a hopeful believer into a passive faithless unbeliever
who neither believes the good now or the good after.
The
permanency of change has made growth a compulsory phase of life hence all must
grow and all must change. But when fear truncates our growth towards our very
best we become content with our average self. We want at least to be stagnant
to maintain a position of Non-function and gravitate towards our greatest evil.
By way of
compromise we envelope ourselves with a kind of euphoria for activities; this
illusion of activities is fear most common smoke screen especially to those who
equal activities to progress.
When fear
attacks the natural fuels of faith, hope and love we become consciences-less,
passion-less and like a feather in space, we become stand-less tossed to and
fro to the point that we lose our pristine self.
Once upon a
man now becomes a monster, both the he-man and she-man are victims.
The virus of
fear, never had death as its ultimate goal, its concern is to infect man with an
unmanly spirit and make them animals propelled by fear, driven by greed, tuned
by lust and characterized by wickedness with a spice of religion or freedom.
Fear hardly
infect others, it only infects you, it is the side effect that wrongs our
neighbours. This is why I say, fear is not a virus it is worst than a virus
because sit maims our souls.
So if you
want to conquer this fresh year in its entire ramification: If you have a dream
stand by it, if you can afford to love, be sure to love all the way, make sure
your convictions are worth it, if you are called, answere. If not, follow, if you are chosen, bear the
burden but by every means possible shun fear and have a ROCK STEADY FAITH.
Honestly if you
have to live through 2013, please ground your fears.
Welcome to
the year of grand possibilities.
